32. Bullpit Meadow, Crickhowell

Bullpit Meadows is close to the bridge over the River Usk at Crickhowell. The meadows are well used by local people and visitors for walking and recreation.

Seats and picnic benches can be found along the path. The tarmac path runs alongside the River Usk for 370 metres. The path continues past the footbridge for another 500 metres, but is uneven, not very wide and it can be muddy.

How to get there: The path starts by the traffic lights opposite the Bridgend Inn. You will have to cross short but steep flood defences to get to the main path.

Nearest town or village: Crickhowell.

Facilities: Crickhowell is a small, busy town with shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is a bus service from Abergavenny and Brecon.

Parking: The closest car parking is pay and display, 800 metres away behind Clarence Hall in the centre of town. There is a small lay-by on the B4558 on the south side of the bridge, 150 metres from the entrance to the meadows.

Toilets: The nearest toilets, including disabled access (RADAR) toilets, are at the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre by the side of the A40, 800 metres away and adjacent to the pay and display parking described above.
