The new ‘Candidate Sites’ have been chosen after many months of consultation with landowners and the public asking them to suggest and identify potential development sites within the Park. They are not planning applications nor are they sites that the Park Authority has put forward itself.
Tracey Nettleton, Forward Planning Officer for Brecon Beacons National Park Authoritys said: “These candidate sites are just suggestions at this stage and we are asking for the public’s help in determining whether they should make it into the Development Plan – once they are in the Plan that will mean they can be developed so we hope everyone will carefully consider now what is being proposed”.
“So, if you see a notice up and you think the land should or shouldn’t be developed then this is your opportunity to let the Park know what you think. Your views can then be included when the Park starts to look at which sites will be appropriate to allocate in the Deposit Plan which will be published by the end of the year.”
You can send your reasons for or against development of each of the “Candidate Sites” to Strategy and Policy, BBNPA, Plas y Ffynnon, Cambrian Way, Brecon LD3 7HP or email firstname.lastname@example.org
