It’s party time in the National Park

The National Park
Visitor Centre will be open between 10am and 5pm over the four day holiday
period, with a wide range of activities on offer that are sure to be fun for all
the family. What’s best is that entry for wonderful weekend is absolutely FREE!

Anyone Partying in
the Park this April will be able to enjoy archery, laserball, paintballing,
pottery workshops, guided walks, bike hire – courtesy of Bikes and Hikes, owl
and falconry displays, children’s art and activity workshops, a bouncy castle,
enamel badge making, face painting, falconry, 3D mask making (courtesy of the
SDF funded Take pART organisation), puzzle making and much more to keep
everyone entertained.  There’s even a large outdoor and camping display
from Cotswold Outdoor Company where you can get some great ideas and camping
products to help you enjoy the great outdoors even more over the holiday
period.

The Bannau Brycheiniog
National Park Authority-owned centre – situated in Libanus near Brecon – is
proud to host the Party in the Park extravaganza for the second year running.

Catering Manager for
the National Park Visitor Centre Tearooms, Andrew Powell, is looking forward to
welcoming visitors to Libanus to the second Party in the Park.

Andrew, who also
organises the Summer Fayre as well as the Hay and Brecon Food Festivals, said:
“This year’s Party in the Park promises to be even bigger and better than the
inaugural event in 2011.

“The event offers a
variety of fun activities for all the family in front of the fantastic backdrop
of the Bannau Brycheiniog. There’s no better way to spend your Bank Holiday
weekend.”

Member Champion for
Visitor Centres at Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority, Cllr Gareth Ratcliffe,
added: “There’s so much to see and do in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park over
the Bank Holiday weekend, but I’d recommend that everyone visit the National
Park Visitor Centre at some point over the four days for what we hope will be a
glorious, sun-filled Party in the Park.”

Party in the Park is
supported by Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority’s Sustainable Development
Fund and many local businesses in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
