Get ready for the new season and the Year of Adventure at the Tourism in the Park 2016 event

2016 is here and it’s going to be epic. As Visit Wales launches its Year of Adventure campaign to make Wales the place to visit, tourism businesses across the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park are invited to the ‘Tourism in the Park’ event on Thursday 11 February.   Everyone who engages with tourism within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park is welcome.

The half day event will be jam packed with inspiration and ideas to help you and the National Park as a whole attract more visitors in 2016.  Marketing staff from Visit Wales will be on hand to answer questions about how to take best advantage of the Year of Adventure campaign,  and you can discover more about what is already planned here in the Bannau Brycheiniog which will be flagged up in social media with the #EpicBeacons. Taste your way through some of the best local food and drink, find out more about the International Dark Sky Reserve and stargazing events, discover how to become an Ambassador and of course meet colleagues.

Peter Cole, Chairman of Bannau Brycheiniog Sustainable Destination Partnership, is enthusiastic about the opportunities the event offers: ‘This is a great way to start the year with the tourism community across the park coming together and getting ready to welcome our visitors. The Bannau Brycheiniog has so much to offer, with adventures of every shape and size, and that offer starts here with tourism providers. We all have a part to play in making this breath-taking part of Wales a must-visit destination and the Year of Adventure campaign offers a perfect opportunity to do just that’.

Any business which contributes to tourism – as provider of accommodation, attractions, activities, local produce, food and drink or helping provide the visitor experience in other ways, is welcome to come along and get involved. The event has been organised by Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority and Bannau Brycheiniog Tourism on behalf of the Partnership and takes place at Llangynidr New Village Hall.  It is free to attend for all who register first by visiting goo.gl/KXEOl3 .
